I know there's not really a big difference (and if there is, I sure as hell don't know about it and I probably sound stupid) between MuggleNet and The Leaky Cauldron, but I feel that MuggleNet is kind of the lesser of the two and I kind of feel bad that I kind of swing towards MuggleNet more than The Leaky Cauldron. Cause, like, when I see all these other obsessed fans and they say "I check The Leaky Cauldron every hour..." I'm like "Does that make me less of a fan if I like MuggleNet?"
And I know what most people think when they hear about MuggleNet: "EMERSON!"
But, really, I didn't even know who Emerson was until AFTER I got into MuggleNet. If anything, I'm more of a fan towards Melissa Anelli than Emerson Spartz. But I don't go to The Leaky Cauldron.
And I don't listen to PotterCast or MuggleCast.
I think part of it is because I didn't get into the books and the fandom until after the fifth movie came out. *runs from the pitchforks*
Am I a bad fan? DFTBA!

Siriusly?!
I just found out... I can't go.
My step-dad's working nights... So I can't go?
But what about my grandmother (STEP-grandmother!)? She can watch the kids, right?
Nope. She's TERRIFIED of spending ONE NIGHT alone!
SIRIUSLY?!
For the past 4 days I've been daydreaming, going through awesome scenarios of this show and I can't go because grandma's afraid of the dark?!
I had it all planned out. I was going to call my aunt and see if I could get a few hundred dollars so I could go. Then, I was going to call my friend to see if she could go. Then I was going to look up the library on Google Maps and figure out whether I wanted to dress up as Tonks or just in my Ravenclaw attire.
And now I can't... all because my step-dad's working nights.
*choked sob* I really wanted to go... DFTBA.

Squee!
OH MY GOD!
Okay, I just watched the video in which Alex Carpenter (of The Remus Lupins) talks about their new tour and gives the dates and the locations. And he says "We're playing on tour, we're playing near you..." and I'm like "Yeah, I'm sure you will." because they never come near where I live. Well, I was looking at the list and I see they're playing, like, 3 hours from where I live (which, I admit, is not ideal, but it's better than Boston) so, I look up the exact location. I go tell my mom and I was actually expecting her to say 'no' right away, but she didn't, she looked and was like "But that's next week." ha and I'm over there making whimpering noises. So she says "Okay, I have to look at what's going on next week and I have to look at how much money we have, but I WILL try."
I AM SO EXCITED! Even though there's a chance that I may not be able to go, there still a chance I can and that's so exciting! (oh, I forgot to say that this would be my first Wizard Rock concert of any kind other than just listening on my iPod)
The only thing bad that could happen now is if I can't go... DFTBA!

Health or Magic?
Well, before I start my story, I'm just going to say that my mom's a nurse and that's the only reason I thought of this.
The other day me and my mom were watching A Haunting (don't ask) and one of the people was, like, possessed. So, they're rolling around on the ground, their eyes are in the back of their head, and I was sitting there thinking "How do they KNOW they're possessed? I mean, they could just be having a seizure or something, right?"
Then, of course, I related it to Harry Potter. How do you know if someone was hit by the Cruciatus or if they have a medical problem? And moreso do magical people HAVE medical problems? I mean, most of the medical issues in the series are magical. So how do you tell?
For some sick reason I would love Harry to get a tumor... Okay that's wrong, but still... I'd love to see how they fixed it. Is there a St. Mungo's Hospital for Non-Magical Maladies and Injuries?
I wonder if J.K.R. thought of that while she was writing it... DFTBA!

YouTube "Celebrities"
I find it really interesting that we've created these "celebrities" from YouTube.
It's in our blood as NerdFighters not to idolize people like Brittney Spears or Paris Hilton, obviously, but I think it's really cool that, instead, we idolize people who aren't really big in the general public, save for the NerdFighter and Harry Potter community, and we treat them like they are big celebrities.
Like, when I recieved a comment reply on YouTube from John Green, I almost fell out of my seat because I was so excited. I mean, John Green, JOHN GREEN, replied to my, MY, comment. I am not worthy. I am not worthy!
And then I added a comment on the FiveAwesomeGirls page asking about Wizard Rock concerts (since most of them are in Wizard Rock bands) and if they hang out with non-celebrities like me. Then, a couple days later, Kristina Horner (of THE PARSELMOUTHS!) left a comment on MY PAGE saying:
"Hahahhaa. We're not, like, 'celebrities'.
Everyone goes to these conventions/gatherings to meet people and hang out, we hang with everyone.
Kristina/Monday"
But what they don't see is that, to us, they ARE celebrities and it means a lot to us that they take the time to reply... DFTBA!

Houses: Can You REALLY Be Sorted?
Okay, so my question is "Can you REALLY be sorted into only ONE house?"
Because, if you think about it, we all belong to every house at some point in our lives. You can be kind one day, so you're sorted into Hufflepuff, but then the next you're completely stuck up, so you're sorted into Slytherin... And then sometimes you can be really smart, so you're sorted into Ravenclaw, but everyone has their moments. So how are you supposed to figure it out?
I've narrowed it down to two houses. I think I'm a Ravenpuff... or a Huffleclaw... I think...
I've taken many Sorting Quizzes and most of them say I'm a Ravenclaw so...
Then I think about what Dumbledore has always said about "sorting too soon" and how some Slytherins have proven the stereotypes wrong, like Severus Snape. Not wanting to bash Slytherins, I also thought about how some Gryffindors, like Peter Pettigrew, turn bad.
And then I think, "Why sort at all?" I mean there's probably never going to be house unity so why bother?
These are the questions that haunt me... DFTBA!

First Blog. Yay?
So, is my first blog... ever.
I only really did this because my step-mom talked me into it. We were having a discussion about, what else, Harry Potter and I was telling her how it's a lot more than a children's book. I mean, if you think about it, it's a pretty deep story and can be open to many interpretations. I told her about how Severus Snape's character changes throughout the books and how some people see him as a hero, yet some people see him as just a really good actor. And really, all the characters are like that. After talking excitedly for about half an hour she told me I should make a blog and talk about all these things. I thought about it for a second and then told her how I had already took a leap of faith in myself by writing a fanfiction story and how well that went. She told me to "just do it" and how "the worst thing that could happen is no one will read it, but you still have this great journal." So, I'm doing it.
I'm reading Mugglenet.com's Harry Potter Should Have Died right now, it talks about the different views on the different issues brought up from the books, so I hope that helps kick this "project" off.
Hmm... I guess I could talk to you about what I'm interested in..? Umm... Well obviously I'm obsessed with Harry Potter. I've only read the WHOLE series once but I wanted to read Half-Blood Prince again before the movie comes out... I did... Now I'm flipping back through it AGAIN. I love Wizard Rock, my favourites are The Remus Lupins, Ministry of Magic, The Moaning Myrtles, and The Parselmouths (there are TONS of others that I like, those are just my top favourites). I'm a NerdFighter and I love the vlogbrothers (Hank and John Green if you don't already know). I have written a fanfiction story (Lily/Severus) and I'm in the process of writing another (Remus/Sirius). I'm addicted to YouTube and most my subscriptions are people talking about Harry Potter or they like Harry Potter or they're part of Wizard Rock bands or, in the vlogbrother's case, are just awesome.
I think I'm going to end it there and maybe continue tomorrow. So... Yeah... DFTBA!
